While Sunshine and Pumpkin both dread they day they turn 50, for a state like Hawaii it really is no big deal. Kidnappings are all the rage these days.  The most unfortunate thing about kidnapping is that there are so many other people who didn't want their kids, yet only parents who love their children suffer kidnapping.  This is reason enough to share a soothing tiki drink with your friends.  And thats exactly what Sunshine, Starshine and Kalani do.  In order to ensure that the show has some sense of tiki, Sunshine answers some listener email requests to explain the economics of the home bar.  Starshine is captivated by the AMC show Madmen and is jealous of the hair and high heels.  Kalani shares a story that is far to interesting to spill in print, just listen.  Mahalo for listening and tell a friend.

Sunshine and Starshine slithered into the lounge for a quickie podcast before heading to Tiki Oasis 9.  It wasn't only the two of us that had current events (politics) on the mind, but many a listener has been asking what our point of view is.  We had to start with the perfect libation to melt away our inner monologue.  "The Tiki" is not only a smooth drink but is also being served in our room at Tiki Oasis.  Now a little Les Baxter and we're ready to talk.  Healthcare worries?  Pissed at the Fed?  Had enough of the religious right telling you how to live your life?  All your friends are married but you aren't cause your gay?  We cover it all.  We end the show with what might be a recurring segment.  It occurred to us that gathering up all the nut jobs and putting them on a one way tour of the Grand Canyon might just solve all our woes.  Listen, enjoy.

Lets face it, a good stiff drink makes it easier for even the most uptight person to discuss politics.  Sunshine and Kalani certainly don't need a cocktail for conversation about the subjects like "don't ask, don't tell" or gay marriage.  This episode is not all serious matters, we also discuss how helpful a good dose of ginger can be, both in your drink and to curb many ailments.  Mint is another great herb our cocktails can't do without.  And we have plenty of listener mail and comments as well.  Enjoy!

Our cocktail takes across the pond this week.  Pimm's Cup is a classic British cocktail that no Wimbledon would be complete without.  Luckily here in the states we can easily get our hands on Pimm's No1 without much trouble.  This light on alcohol drink allows Sunshine and Pumpkin to converse with a little more coherence this week.  Have you ever wondered how meat eaters are killing the planet?  Pumpkin has details.  Maybe you thought that alcohol was a cure all, but the supreme master being tells a different story.  You must visit the website of this total nut job, over the top crazy lady.  Maybe you will laugh, maybe you will change your life forever.  As long as you continue listening to our podcast we really don't care.  Sunshine ends things with a visit from Dr. Bruce, our relaxation specialist and a rant about Joe Jackson....the A-hole child abusing, family manipulating, drunk ass, sorry excuse for a human being that he is.  Can you blame me?  And lets not forget our first of two parts on the wonders of Ginger and how it relates to our favorite tiki cocktails.  Yummy.
