Below left, Sunshine Tiki and Kalani enjoy Bitter Harbor in the Zen Tiki Lounge. Our newest tropical cocktail with fresh grapefruit and lemon juices along with several rums and bitters. We sported our green for St. Pattys day and sipped more than a few drinks. On the right we cooked up a pulled pork style slider made with jackfruit in a tangy BBQ sauce. This meat like alternative does have a slightly different texture than pulled pork, it is a little softer but not slimy or chewy. Cooked up and on a Kings Hawaiian role this stuff from The Jackfruit Company is a great bar snack that your vegan and meat eating friends will like.

Three hosts in the lounge for this episode of ZTL. Our drink is not one of our originals but comes from the Total Tiki app by Beachbum Berry. If you had only one app filled with tiki drinks, details instructions, history and an ingredient database...this is the one you want. Best Year was chosen as our drink because Sunshine vowed to try new things.Read More
Just after recording this episode Sunshine came down with a rather annoying and life changing cold. The full blog entry will be added after he gets to it. At this point, not even making his own food. Just NyQuil, lots of liquids and rest. You will be happy to see that Pumpkin joined us on this episode. After just two cocktails her conversation gets nice and saucy.Read More
Step into the Zen Tiki Lounge for some Exotic vegan delights on this episode of the podcast. Sunshine, Kalani and Starshine relax to the sounds of the new album by James Spencer, Exotica the piano cocktail hour and sample tasty vegan bites from James' cookbook Vegandisiac. Its too bad our resident vegan Pumpkin could not join us this time. She would surely LOVE cocktails and appetizers all made without animal products and all very very delicious. Also on this episode we discuss the return of ZIMA, a tiki bar editorial and some don't miss late Summer events that a conscious imbiber should not skip.Read More
When this podcast was recorded Sunshine and Pumpkin, your two original ZTL hosts were thinking this would be a Valentines themed show from our home tiki bar. Well, not so much after taking a week to edit the damn thing. We did start with our signature tiki drink of love. Please take a look at our recipe for Aloha Amoré and mix one for love or try one for wanton inebriation. Either way Aloha Amoré will delight with pineapple, grapefruit, chocolate and passion fruit. If you dig the music playing in the lounge you may want to check out this Ultra Lounge album: On The Rocks.Read More
