The Hukilau is the largest tiki weekend event on the East coast.  The Florida sun will drench you in light.  Just add ample cocktails and sunblock.  Did we mention the Mai Kai?  The last great tiki palace left in America!  All great reasons to head to Ft. Lauderdale
