Island Time Tea

At the time this cocktail was crafted we are enjoying an 85 degree day on November 11th here in SoCal. This is a base recipe drink, meaning you can interchange a few of the ingredients without messing it up and create your own personal favorite.  Try replacing black tea with Earl Grey.  Or change out the limoncello with mango or passion fruit rum.  Maybe switch the brown sugar for agave or honey?  Make this drink you own.

1 oz Appleton Estate (Any bottle)

1 oz Demerara (El Dorado 5yr or 8yr work very well)

.75 oz Limoncello

4 oz Strongly brewed black tea

1-2 tsp brown sugar depending on how sweet you enjoy your tea

.5 oz fresh Lemon juice

Add tea and sugar to cocktail shaker or mixing glass. Stir well until sugar is dissolved. Add remaining ingredients. Shake or still well with ice, strain and pour over ice in a pilsner or other tall glass.  Garnish with fresh lemon or lime.
