Lets face it, a good stiff drink makes it easier for even the most uptight person to discuss politics.  Sunshine and Kalani certainly don’t need a cocktail for conversation about the subjects like “don’t ask, don’t tell” or gay marriage.  This episode is not all serious matters, we also discuss how helpful a good dose of ginger can be, both in your drink and to curb many ailments.  Mint is another great herb our cocktails can’t do without.  And we have plenty of listener mail and comments as well.  Enjoy!

Well Drink
Mix 2oz vodka with 6 oz of cranberry, oj or grapefruit juices. Pour ingredients over ice and stir.

Whole mint leaves, fresh brewed tropical tea, Rose’s lime juice, vodka, an orange.

Drink of the Week
Pearl Harbor
1oz Vodka
1oz Midori
1/2oz Pineapple Juice
1/2oz Orange Juice
Maraschino Cherry for garnish
Toss all into a shaker with ice. Shake, strain, into collins glass filled with ice. Enjoy!

Have the following ingredients ready: Tequila, Triple Sec, Pineapple Juice, Coconut Milk, Blender, Ice, Salt.

The Senate is preparing to Vote on the “Federal Marriage Amendment” This defines Marriage in the United States as only between Man and Woman. Think about this… Regardless about how you personally feel about Gay people getting married. The constitution is no place for this type of discrimination!
This amendment would forever write discrimination into the United States Constitution. The Constitution was written to protect and ensure equality for ALL Americans. This amendment would destroy that equality by rewriting the Constitution to treat same-sex couples differently than other Americans.
Church and State are separate in America! That is what makes our country so great! We are free to pursue our own beliefs. But crazy conservatives are trying to destroy that basic principal which our country was founded on.

Passion Fruit Margarita
2oz tequila
1oz orange liqueur
1oz passion fruit puree
1oz lime juice
1oz simple syrup
ice
blend all together, salt or sugar rim of glass if you like.
