Aloha and Bienvenidos! Sunshine, Kalani and Starshine are just now back from Tiki Oasis: South of the Border. We had an amazing weekend and had the chance to record a “live” podcast just before our room party. A big Mahalo to listeners Stephen, Michalee, Ann, Damon, Randy, Julian and KC for joining us for cocktails, chit chat and shenanigans. Stephen brought his Chalkboard Ukulele and inducted the hosts of ZTL into the Chalkboard Ukulele blog. Damon and Randy drove (flew) all the way from Wisconsin their home tiki bar, Let’s Tiki. As you may know, we have all been quite enthused to watch each new episode of The Velveteen Lounge Kitsch-en with Kelly Patterson. Her 3 minute video tributes to all things kitsch and kooky have given us a stellar idea. How about a series of jello mold videos, where we dare your loyal hosts of the Zen Tiki Lounge to eat each creation? Sounds good to us as well. Here is video #1. Let it be said that Sunshine was the only one of us to eat his whole slice of “jello mold.” The rest of us tried it, even with mayonnaise.
