Most of you have probably not heard of the terrible fate of our almost perfect food. The Banana may soon be gone forever. Sunshine has been doing his homework on this tropical fruit and most of what he found was sad news indeed. Listen to hear all the unhappy details. Pumpkin may be preparing to miss her daily fruit but still finds a way to bring a discussion of sexual addiction to the lounge. RLS is a silly little problem facing a few Americans but thank goodness our friends at the pharmaceutical companies have come up with a drug. Just one little issue. The side effects are gambling, sex and alchol addiction. Geeeesh. Just before we end the show Sunshine brings some happy news of this Summers Tiki shindigs on both the east and west coasts. Check them out this Summer. Listen often and be sure to tell your friends about the show.

The more the merrier has often been used to describe unexpected shenanigans. Our podcast is no different. This week we welcome two wonderful guests, Harlow returns to tell us about her Toe Rape story. A new guest to the lounge Ebb drops by for a cocktail and just to see how things come together in our little tiki bar. Sunshine and Pumpkin are certainly not short on subject matter and the fact that we share no less than three or four cocktails in just under two hours makes things interesting. One cocktail worth mention is our first try at a low calorie concoction for our calorie watching friends. Listen carefully for the recipe and try it at home. Of noteworthy mention are some of our new friends from the Geoff Stein Project. We play two of Sunshines favorite songs from their new album and you can click the link below to check them out on myspace and find their music, just perfect for relaxing next to any body of water or your backyard.

Drink of the Week
The Tiki
1.5oz Sailor Jerry spiced rum
2oz pineapple juice
.5oz fresh lemon juice
.5oz orange curacao
1oz cranberry juice cocktail
Be sure to use a nice tiki mug for this one, the color of the cocktail is not exactly pretty and some say thats what tiki mugs were made for. Put all ingredients but the curacao in your shaker with 2 cups crushed ice. Shake well and pour into a tiki mug filled with more crushed ice. Top with the orange curacao. Enjoy with a few friends.

Sunshine is normally the best of hosts, taking his party guests into consideration at all times. This week things got a little more personal. Sunshine brings us a delicious cocktail that features spiced rum, otherwise know as Pumpkins least favorite sugar cane derived alcohol. But, to her surprise the drink is damn good. The “Cable Car” is a spinoff of the much better known “Side Car.” To make this drink you will need a good spiced rum, but Sunshine recommends Sailor Jerry spiced rum. Now that you have your drink try listening to the Creepy Creeps. Our second band featured that you will be able to hear live at Tiki Oasis this Summer in San Diego. Sunshine brings us some news from his trip to Las Vegas, including a visit to the new Trader Vics in sin city. Pumpkin is excited to discuss her discovery of a hom Brazilian waxing kit, but is a little afraid to try it herself. And some sad news. ATA and Aloha airlines both file for bankruptcy, so just try getting to Hawaii for anywhere under $1000. Thats a show! Listen, Drink, Enjoy!

Drink of the Week
Cable Car
1oz Sailor Jerry spiced rum
.5oz fresh lime juice
.5oz fresh lemon juice
.5oz orange curacao
.5oz simple syrup
Put everything in your shaker with 1 cup ice and shake till you can’t hold the shaker, you want a little froth. Pour into a chilled collins glass with crushed ice and rimmed with cinnamon sugar. To make your own rimming sugar: 1/4 cup super fine sugar (bar sugar) and 1 tsp cinnamon. Mix well, then wet the rim of your glass and dip in cinnamon/sugar mixture. This drink really needs the cinnamon sugar rim, so don’t skip it.
